This is a special 2 night grief retreat December 5-7, 2025 with a focus on self care and tips on how to handle the holidays. The cost is $400 per person.
We will laugh together and cry together in a safe space to do the hard work of grief. This grief retreat provides an intimate setting where you will be cared for by a certified Compassionate Bereavement Provider and Pastoral Counselor. There will be sessions in which you will learn about the five stages of grief and how to cope in each stage using triune self-care, the science behind grief (prepare to be fascinated!), and you will go home with sustainable coping skills to help you continue your grief journey. Each night a creative element will help you honor and remember your loved one. There will also be free time to process, enjoy nature, rest and fellowship with others. Expect to be well fed physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Through Christian counseling and grief care, I learned the strength to cope with my loss, to breathe, and to relax, soothing the pain. These individuals, including my pastor, brought a lot of peace and calm to my soul during this grief retreat, allowing me to heal and find solace in my marriage and family.
If we open ourselves up and keep God's will first, the possibilities of newfound friendships, freedom, and healing are endless and amazing. In times of grief, whether through loss or during a grief care retreat, people need each other to heal and grow. We are more alike than different, and through Christian counseling, we can find support. God is a very present help in our times of trouble, struggle, loneliness, and fear, especially for those navigating marriage challenges or seeking pastoral counseling with a pastor.
I have worked with an amazing and lovely pastoral counselor, Danielle Kitts, in Guatemala for many years. We have conducted grief care retreats aimed at high-risk populations within church communities, making a significant impact for God. Danielle has a heart for grievers, encouraging them to keep their focus on God during times of despair. As a valuable resource for those seeking Christian counseling, she helps grievers mend their hearts and navigate their grief, often within the context of marriage and pastoral counseling.
Overall, I had a great experience at the Grief Care Retreat. It provided much-needed rest and the opportunity to reflect on areas I need to strengthen, especially in my Christian faith. I truly appreciate the genuineness that Danielle displays and her passion for helping individuals through these grief care retreats. Her approach to pastoral counseling makes me feel like I am in safe hands, allowing me to navigate my grief and even improve my marriage.
This Grief Care Retreat will allow you to truly be yourself in a non-judgment zone. As we navigate this grief journey together, remember that it's okay to cry as much as you need. Our Christian Counseling approach ensures that everyone, including pastors and those seeking pastoral counseling, feels supported in their grief. We understand that this is a vital part of the healing process, especially for those dealing with marriage challenges during times of loss.
The biggest benefit of a Grief Care Retreat is the atmosphere it provides, allowing you to connect with God for the healing your mourning heart needs. This is especially significant in Christian Counseling, as God is the only one who can truly mend a broken spirit, whether you are navigating grief alone or with the support of a Pastor through Pastoral Counseling. Such retreats can also be beneficial for those dealing with grief in their Marriage.
On this Christian grief retreat, I've learned that it's okay to cry and to feel the way I feel. Through the grief counseling provided, I've discovered how to focus on the spiritual aspects of my journey rather than just the physical. I'm walking away with so much more than I expected from both the grief care and the overall experience of the grief retreat, which has greatly enriched my understanding of marriage and healing.
This grief care retreat was a wonderful opportunity to spend time alone with God while also engaging in structured lessons that prompted deep reflection. Danielle and Andy are exceptional hosts, and the food was delicious. Having never participated in a grief retreat before, I was uncertain of what to expect, but Danielle and Andy's warmth made me feel at ease. Their sessions on grief care and the insights shared were incredibly timely. I would highly recommend this grief retreat to anyone looking to make progress in their grief journey, deepen their faith, and grow closer to God through pastoral counseling.
This Grief Care retreat is held in a cabin in the North Georgia Mountains. The fee includes an online session before and after the retreat as well as your food and lodging.
